Meltric Decontactors have a dead front design to protect users from accidental exposure to live parts and arcing. The dead front is accomplished with a safety shutter on the receptacle along with enclosed arc chambers and a skirted plug casing. Since there is no access to live parts, Meltric products simplify compliance to the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
