2005 Category Winner EC&M Product of the Year Competition

Meltric Corporation is pleased to announce that it's new DS100C Decontactor Series plug and receptacle was awarded top honors in the 'Wiring Devices' category of EC&M's "2005 Product of the Year" competition.

The DS100C is a new 100 amp rated device that, like all Decontactors, is a combination plug, receptacle, and disconnect switch in the same device. Decontactors utilize a motor starter contact technology which allows mechanics to quickly and safely make or break electrical connections, thus reducing down time associated with electrical equipment change-outs. Safety features such as 100kA short circuit ratings and dead front construction helps ensure an electrically safe work condition and simplifies compliance to OSHA/NFPA 70E requirements.

EC&M category winners were chosen by a panel of experts based on the products usefulness in saving time and enhancing productivity.
