2004 Plant Engineering 'Product of the Year' Award Winner

Meltric Corporation is pleased to announce that it's new DS100C Decontactor Series plug and receptacle recently received a Plant Engineering "2004 Product of the Year" award. The DS100C was an award winner in the electrical power category.

The DS100C is a 100 amp rated device that, like all Decontactors, is a combination plug, receptacle, and disconnect switch in the same device. Decontactors utilize a motor starter contact technology which allows mechanics to quickly and safely make or break electrical connections, thus reducing down time associated with electrical equipment change-outs. Safety features such as 100kAIC short circuit ratings and dead front construction helps ensure an electrically safe work condition and simplifies compliance to OSHA/NFPA 70E requirements.

The Plant Engineering "Product of the Year" award honors only the most innovative and useful products introduced to the industry during the year. Contest entries were screened by a panel of independent judges then Plant Engineering readers voted for the best products in each category.
